Here's me at the Green Mango!! My absiloute favourite part of this photo is the "World class nude showgirls!!!" in the background. Who doesn't want to know about THAT when eating!!??!

Anyways, onto the actual blog entry about the day....
So me and Daddy went up to Toronto yesteray. It was good fun! After forgetting to set my alarm, and getting woken up 15 minutes before our scheduled departure time, I hurried about to get everything ready to go. We left about 11, and headed on up to Oakville to go to the wonderful and glorious Pottery Supply House. We got lots of things including: all different kinds of glazes, two different types of clay, some new wheel tools, a book on how to throw properly (which I think I need!), a pyrometer, and tempurature cones for my kiln. So all in all we have a very well stocked little pottery studio happening here. From there we headed to the Yorkdale mall, where we parked the Miata and headed to the subway to get to downtown. Amazing how much subway systems look the exact same no matter where you go in the world! They even had the "Mind the gap" posters in the various stations. I kept reading them in my head with a distinct british accent, which very much amused me.
Had a yummy yummy dinner at the Green Mango, my favourite Thai place in Northa America thus far.
(The place in Berlin was even better... although I don't know if it was better on account of tastier food, or just the great overwhelming sence of joy in ordering a dish that was written completly in German and had no idea what it was, and ending up with something being not only edible, but really really tasty! Plus, being a broke hungry backpacker, anything that didn't end in Wurst while in Germany is always a welcome retreat.)
We headed out to Massey Hall after dinner and managed to get very last minute seats to see the Doug Riley band. (The show started at 8:00 and we got our tickets at 7:20 or so.) We didn't feel like waiting around in the theatre until showtime, so we decided to go for a bit of a quick shopping trip up Bloor St. Seeing as we were in Toronto why not eh? We walkpast a really neat looking store with lots of East Indian decorating accessories. (Throw pillows, bedspreads, lamps, you name it) Dad ended up getting a book and I had fun looking about the place.
Then onwards back to Massey just in time for the show. We're way up in the nosebleed seats, but didn't wait long before moving to some better seats which nobody seemed to have claimed. The show was really good. It was all 60's funk, soul, rock music, but the singers and band players were all very talented which made for an enjoyable evening. I was by far the youngest person in the audience by a good 30+ years. I think I should have gotten a tshirt or a mug for that. ;) The show ended around 10:30, so we hopped back on the subway, back to the car (it was raining really hard by then and I forgot my umbrella!) and headed on back to K-town. I slept most of the ride home, and we got back home about 2:30. I went to bed and had to get up at 8 to work all day from 9:30 to 6. It sucked. hehehe
Anyways, now I'm gonna go eat dinner and play with all my new pottery supplies I got! Excitement now!
