Here's me at the Green Mango!! My absiloute favourite part of this photo is the "World class nude showgirls!!!" in the background. Who doesn't want to know about THAT when eating!!??!

Anyways, onto the actual blog entry about the day....
So me and Daddy went up to Toronto yesteray. It was good fun! After forgetting to set my alarm, and getting woken up 15 minutes before our scheduled departure time, I hurried about to get everything ready to go. We left about 11, and headed on up to Oakville to go to the wonderful and glorious Pottery Supply House. We got lots of things including: all different kinds of glazes, two different types of clay, some new wheel tools, a book on how to throw properly (which I think I need!), a pyrometer, and tempurature cones for my kiln. So all in all we have a very well stocked little pottery studio happening here. From there we headed to the Yorkdale mall, where we parked the Miata and headed to the subway to get to downtown. Amazing how much subway systems look the exact same no matter where you go in the world! They even had the "Mind the gap" posters in the various stations. I kept reading them in my head with a distinct british accent, which very much amused me.
Had a yummy yummy dinner at the Green Mango, my favourite Thai place in Northa America thus far.
(The place in Berlin was even better... although I don't know if it was better on account of tastier food, or just the great overwhelming sence of joy in ordering a dish that was written completly in German and had no idea what it was, and ending up with something being not only edible, but really really tasty! Plus, being a broke hungry backpacker, anything that didn't end in Wurst while in Germany is always a welcome retreat.)
We headed out to Massey Hall after dinner and managed to get very last minute seats to see the Doug Riley band. (The show started at 8:00 and we got our tickets at 7:20 or so.) We didn't feel like waiting around in the theatre until showtime, so we decided to go for a bit of a quick shopping trip up Bloor St. Seeing as we were in Toronto why not eh? We walkpast a really neat looking store with lots of East Indian decorating accessories. (Throw pillows, bedspreads, lamps, you name it) Dad ended up getting a book and I had fun looking about the place.
Then onwards back to Massey just in time for the show. We're way up in the nosebleed seats, but didn't wait long before moving to some better seats which nobody seemed to have claimed. The show was really good. It was all 60's funk, soul, rock music, but the singers and band players were all very talented which made for an enjoyable evening. I was by far the youngest person in the audience by a good 30+ years. I think I should have gotten a tshirt or a mug for that. ;) The show ended around 10:30, so we hopped back on the subway, back to the car (it was raining really hard by then and I forgot my umbrella!) and headed on back to K-town. I slept most of the ride home, and we got back home about 2:30. I went to bed and had to get up at 8 to work all day from 9:30 to 6. It sucked. hehehe
Anyways, now I'm gonna go eat dinner and play with all my new pottery supplies I got! Excitement now!

For a long time now I've been struggling with certain thoughts and feelings towards someone. Someone who sadly doesn't feel the same way towards me as I do to them. I've told myself a million times to forget about him and move on with my life, but it just seems to linger there like a big dark rain cloud over my head. I've done my best to put those feelings aside, I've even seen other people here and there, I hang out with my friends a lot, and I've been working steadily. I think most who are around me figure I've just moved on and dealt with it, but I just can't seem to shake this feeling of something. Its hard to say really, I just know that I should feel differently, and no matter how hard I try, or what I do, it just doesn't go away. I know this sounds weird, trust me, it sounds even weirder in my head, but I figured basically only my sister reads this anyways, and I don't mind her knowing what's rolling around in my head, so thought I would write it out to see if it made any more sense actually in wordy form... so far I'm still not sure. I guess we'll just have to wait and see... And here I thought things were supposed to get easier when I got old and grown up! The fairly tales are all lies I tell you!

JigglyPiggy is off to the big city! Yep, Daddy and me will be heading off to Toronto on Friday for the day. It should be good fun! We're going to go to the Pottery Supply Wearhouse now that my very own pottery studio is up and working. Then to the Green Mango for some kickass Thai food, which I haven't had since, geesh, Vik was at U of T!! Far too long! Then going to go see Danny Fincleman's 45's. Its like a 60's soul/rock concert. And Daddy knowing of my musical likings around that era, he thought it would be fun to do all this! What an awesome daddy I have, lucky lucky me. :)

Man, I've been working all day every day all week! Seeing as I doubt any of you really want to hear the exciting details of luggage and leather goods, I haven't had a whole lot else to put in here as of late.
I've been having fun playing around with my pottery wheel after work, I now have two bowls made, and now need to be fired. I know, I know, what a sad excuse for a life.
But in semi-good news, I have a date with a real live male human being! Here I thought the other sex saw me as something of a leper, apparently not so much! We went out for a couple of dates right before I left for Europe, then he went out East for University, and just got back now from school. So we shall see how things have been since we last saw each other. (Oh by the way, he looked me up again) hehehehe I get great joy out of that. ;)

Well, let me just say, today was rather cold, sunny, but chilly, so it was a good day to be working. Yesterday it was nice and warm, so Dad, Mum and me went out and washed the cars, brought the miata down from its winter resting spot, and washed it too for good measure.
Then me and dad finished off my pottery wheel and I actually got to make my first bowl on my own pottery wheel! Very exciting. I tried to make some more tonight, but it wasn't being nice to me, so I gave up. It will be very nice to have my own wheel and kiln, so now I can be potter extraordinare! Ok, maybe not quite, but I'll have fun.
I work everyday except Friday this week, so I will be a busy girl!
Ooh, the Thirsty Traveler is on, all about Irish stout. I should have his job. :(

Finally, interesting things has been happening in my life! Took long enough. (not that I'm complaining. Nothing happening is better than bad things happening. *knocks on wood*)
But, I'm just on my way out the door for work, so I will post all the details when I get home. I was just killing extra time til I had to leave. :)

I went to the park today for my lunch break. It was a very nice day out, bright blue sky, big puffy white clouds. Then a whole bunch of Japanese tourists got dropped off from one of those huge double decker tour buses. I wonder, "why come see Kingston now? Its grey and ugly, and there's still all sorts of sand and salt all over the streets from winter. The trees aren't green, there aren't any flowers and it usually rains... what's the point?" But, they seemed to be enjoying themselves just the same, frolicking about with their windbreakers and extra large clunky digital cameras. I guess there is no real point to this story, I just thought it odd people would come all this way, only to come in a really icky season. Maybe they thought 'spring' for us was now and it would be all pretty and green with bunnies hopping about. Sadly that's in about a month, and even then, the bunnies are still in some kind of a hopping union strike, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh well, sorry for the skimpy postings of late, but I have been working my poor little behind off, which doesn't leave a whole lot of extra time for social life! And with no social life, there just isn't a whole lot of interesting things worth writing about. But, tomorrow night RMC (for any out of towners, its the military college) is hosting a big party with all of its officers. I am most excited. My girls and I in a horde of decked out military boys and alcohol to boot? The evening will surely be entertaining to say the least. Thankfully I have the next two days off work, so I can really party it up and still have time to regain my composure before having to head back to the trenches. I will be sure to put up a decent update after then, maybe even some photos if I bother with my camera.
till then!
